What's at Barney's Buddies

Our 4 dogs Barney, an 8 year old Patterdale x Jack Russell, Min (on the sofa), a 12 year old small Romanian rescue, Crackhead (blame the kids! can you tell?), a 9 year old Romanian rescue and Layla, a gracious elderly lady from Romania who spent most of her life as a street dog until we adopted her just over 4 years ago.

Barney’s Buddies has a large front room (23 square meters), leading through to a sizeable kitchen/diner/lounge (42 square meters) with a separate quiet room leading off this if required for rest and relaxation. (10.5 square meters) There is also another room for rest and relaxation and quiet time (12 square meters). Stairgates are fitted between all the rooms. 

There are various dog beds and sofas throughout the house, crates are also available if required, and you have given consent and your dog/dogs are accustomed to using crates.

Large Bi-fold doors open out to a substantial patio 55 square meters, which includes seating and a large umbrella for shade. There is a lawn area (25.5 square meters) complete with dog agility equipment and toys, including a ball pit and paddling pool (weather permitting). We provide cooling mats, cooling bandanas and a fan if the weather is very hot. There is also a summerhouse for shelter or chillout space.

The garden is completely secure and safe.

All dogs will be treated as part of the family and boarders will sleep in our home overnight.

Lots of fun and entertainment for your dog! 

  Feeding is carried out on an individual basis to eliminate cross contamination or food squabbles.

We would ask that you provide enough food to cover your dog’s stay and include detailed feeding instructions. Bowls will be provided.

All dogs have 2 walks a day based on age and ability, unless unable to do so. All dogs would remain on a long lead unless in a completely secure area.

For less mobile dogs who still wish to enjoy the outdoors:

An Inopet Adventure all terrain dog buggy is available for dogs up to 30Kgs. 

A dog pouch for dogs up to 12kgs is also available. 

An exercise plan will be followed if provided and there are lots of daily enrichment activities for the dogs.
